Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Montana Fishing Reports mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (EULA). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Apple App Store Users
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Standard EULA:

Apple's terms apply in addition to these Terms of Use.
Service Description
Montana Fishing Reports provides real-time river conditions, fishing reports, maps, weather data, and related information for Montana rivers and waterways. The App offers both free and Premium subscription tiers.
Free Tier
- Access to current river conditions and flows
- Basic interactive map with access points
- Limited favorites (2 rivers)
- Shop fishing reports
- Advertisements may be displayed
Premium Subscription
- Monthly: $4.99 USD per month
- Yearly: $39.99 USD per year (33% savings)
- 14-day free trial for new users (no credit card required)
Premium Features Include:
- The HatchCast AI-powered fishing forecasts
- 7-day flow charts and historical data
- Leaderboard participation
- River mile calculator
- Push notifications for flows and hatches
- Unlimited favorites
- Personal map pins
- Brag Cards for social sharing
- Ad-free experience
Subscription Terms
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Free Trial: At the end of your 14-day trial, your subscription will automatically convert to the selected plan unless cancelled.
- Cancellation: You can cancel anytime through your device settings (Settings → Apple ID/Subscriptions or Google Play → Subscriptions).
- Refunds: All purchases are final. Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies.
Free Trial
New users are eligible for one 14-day free trial of Premium features. The trial:
- Begins automatically upon first app launch
- Does not require a credit card
- Converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled
- Cannot be combined with other promotional offers
User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
- Interfere with other users' access to the App
- Submit false or misleading information in fishing logs or leaderboards
- Use automated tools to scrape data from the App
- Circumvent subscription checks or unlock Premium features without payment
Fishing Log & Content
- You retain ownership of content you submit to your personal fishing log.
- You grant us a license to store this data for your personal use within the App.
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of information in your fishing log.
- We reserve the right to remove leaderboard entries that violate our guidelines.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
- River conditions, flows, and fishing reports are for informational purposes only.
- Data accuracy depends on third-party sources (USGS, weather services, etc.).
- Fishing conditions can change rapidly. Always verify conditions before fishing.
- We do not guarantee the safety of any fishing location or access point.
- Weather and flow predictions are estimates and may not reflect actual conditions.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Personal injury, death, or property damage while fishing
- Damages from inaccurate data or predictions
- Lost fishing time or travel expenses
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months
Fishing Safety & Regulations
- You are responsible for obtaining all required Montana fishing licenses and permits.
- Follow all Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) regulations.
- Check current river closures and restrictions before fishing.
- Practice safe wading and boating techniques.
- Be aware of changing weather and water conditions.
- Let someone know your fishing plans and expected return time.
Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services including but not limited to:
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google Mobile Ads (advertising for free users)
- USGS (river flow and temperature data)
- NOAA/weather services (weather data)
- Expo (app platform)
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
Intellectual Property
- All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Montana Fishing Reports.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App.
- The App's name, logo, and branding are our trademarks.
Termination
We reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your access for violation of these terms
- Discontinue the App or any feature at any time
- Remove user-generated content that violates our guidelines
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Use (EULA). Changes will be:
- Posted in the App (Settings → Terms of Use (EULA))
- Dated with the last update
- Effective immediately upon posting
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
